Dr. Lucy Fernandes
Veterinarian
Dr. Lucy Fernandes graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology and also holds a Masters in Animal Physiology from York University. She went on to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2013.
Following graduation, she completed a rotating veterinary internship at an emergency and referral hospital in Rochester, New York. Lucy has been primarily practicing emergency medicine after returning home. She happily joined the team at Woodbridge Animal Hospital last year and also recently joined the team and Mono Veterinary Clinic. Clinical interests include emergency, internal medicine and community outreach initiatives.
Lucy shares her home with her husband David, their needy cat Dawson and rambunctious dog Dakota. Out of the clinic, she enjoys traveling, hiking, yoga and snowboarding.
